TLILIC0003 – License To Operate a Forklift Truck

This course offers practical and theoretical training for safely operating a forklift truck, combining classroom instruction and hands-on experience with a forklift. It is designed to impart skills and knowledge necessary for operating a forklift in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. A “forklift truck” is defined as a powered industrial vehicle with a lifting mechanism comprising a mast and an elevating load carriage, equipped with fork arms or other attachments. The training is targeted at individuals seeking to operate forklifts in various industries and requires a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).

The program includes two days of face-to-face training and a separate day for assessment. It can be conducted at dedicated training facilities or onsite if appropriate equipment is available. Successful completion of the course and assessment leads to applying for a High Risk Work (HRW) Licence through WorkSafe Qld, which must be renewed every five years. Sheer Workplace Training, responsible for training and assessment quality, issues a statement of attainment through RTO 45597 for this course, qualifying participants to operate forklifts in sectors like Resources, Construction, Transport, or Retail.

Sheer Workplace Training was established after identifying there was a serious lack of relevant informative training being offered by trainers with real-life experience.

Our core business is based in Brisbane however as our knowledge is our asset our assets travel with ourselves it means wherever we can go so can our training given the right environment.

We are our own product, borne from years of work on hundreds of constructions sites, mines, industrial sites and training thousands of people.

Our backgrounds in the elevated work platform industry along with our plant, access & transport experience. Makes for some interesting stories which we are only too happy to share.

EWPA Yellow Card

It is what we define as a ‘compact course’. The EWPA Yellow card course is a certificate of competency
not a high risk licence. It is the only nationally recognised benchmark to allow personnel to operate ALL SIZES of scissor-lifts, vertical –lifts, trailer-mounted lifts and booms under 11 metres.

Licence to operate a forklift truck

Sheer Workplace Training offers a course that equips participants with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge to safely operate a forklift truck, as defined by its lifting capabilities and distinguishing features.

Boom Lift Licence

The boom over 11m training specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP) where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more.A boom-type EWP means a telescoping, hinged, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated. The government recognised qualification course code is TLILIC0005.

Dear John, I would like to take this opportunity to thank yourself for assisting Fairfield Services recently with the VOC training provided for our site employees at the Laing O’ Rourke, M and A project Fortitude Valley. The purpose of the training was to ensure our employees were competent in the operation of the EWP equipment and to Verify the Competency of our employees back against a criteria of questions as well as the practical observation and witnessing of operation of the equipment. As you would be aware I attended the training, primarily to access the adequacy and content of the course and to give me comfort our employees are properly trained. I was very impressed with the detail and content of the course and feel your delivery re-enforced the hazards and risks associated with operating the equipment, this was enhanced by the interaction of the employees.
